Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vokoza Networks Ltd ("Vokoza", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our network access platform. We process personal data in accordance with Nigeria's Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA).
1. What we collect
When you connect to a Vokoza-powered network or purchase a voucher, we may collect:
- Your name and email address, submitted at the captive portal or checkout;
- Device identifiers (such as MAC address) used for network authentication;
- Payment confirmation details from Paystack (we do not store your card details — these are handled directly by Paystack);
- Voucher usage data, such as data consumed and session times.
2. Why we collect it
We use this information solely to:
- Authenticate you on the Wi-Fi network you are connecting to;
- Process and confirm your voucher payment;
- Maintain security logs to prevent abuse and fraud;
- Provide venue owners with usage and sales reporting for their own network.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Paystack, to process payments securely;
- The venue you are connecting through, for the purpose of managing their own network and vouchers;
- Regulatory or law enforcement authorities, where required by Nigerian law.
4. Data retention
We retain captive portal and transaction data for as long as reasonably necessary for security logging, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
5. Your rights
Under the NDPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by us, subject to our legal and security obligations. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted payment processing via Paystack and access controls on our systems.
